Dungeons and Dragons
Dungeons and dragons otherwise known as DND is a game that anyone can play.
All you need is something to write with, a character sheet template, and a dice set.
The dungeon master or DM needs a few more things than that. They are the maker of the
world and the story teller of your parties adventures. They are responsible for the
entire game and how every encounter and interaction goes. There are premade campaigns
that you can find online or that you can buy. Campaigns are the story that your party
aka group of players will go through. Only the DM will know what will be in store
for you.
To get your adventures started I recommend using a website called DND Beyond. This
website helps you create your characters and deal with all the stats and abilities
without much work. Every time your player levels up they get new features, abilities
or stat point increases. It gets complicated and difficult to keep up with for a new
player. DND Beyond will add all that for you and give you simple instructions to keep
your campaign running smoothly and efficiently. It also gives you all the materials
you need to play DND for FREE! It has tools built into its website so you can do
everything online and don't need to worry about costs for anything else you need.
